The hotel
Originally designed as a country house, the Gsteig was expanded and modernized in 2013. Today, our guests have access to 42 double rooms and suites in a cozy atmosphere .

Sustainability is very important to us. We cover 10% of our total electricity consumption with solar power , which we generate ourselves with our photovoltaic system. An environmentally friendly wood chip heating system provides heat. We have also switched to LED lighting and avoid plastic waste wherever possible.

Our golf secretariat (with Team Leader Golf Hansi Frank, PGA Pro Stefan Rohrsetzer and golf secretaries Lucas Stolz and Peter Müller) will answer all your questions about golf or the game.

We maintain a warm atmosphere coupled with a passion for the game of golf – so that your round of golf becomes a unique experience on the Gsteig.
Our varied fairways are carefully embedded in the gentle Allgäu landscape and challenge players of all abilities . The sweeping views of the Alps and the generous, natural areas create a truly special golfing experience at Gsteig .
We owe the professional maintenance of our award-winning golf course to our greenkeeper team from Sommerfeld.
Naturalness in golf
At Gsteig we place great importance on the topic of SUSTAINABILITY: We irrigate our golf course with water from a natural storage pond and use a sophisticated irrigation network to conserve resources.
A so-called cell system , which has been installed on all greens, requires around 80 percent less water than conventional systems. This water-saving, submerged irrigation system is comparable to hydroponics and guarantees the consistently high quality of our greens.
The enjoyment
We pamper our guests with modern interpretations of Bavarian delicacies and international classics. Enjoy a delicious breakfast or brunch, a lunch special from our menu, coffee and cake, or a multi-course dinner in the evening.
Pure enjoyment of Bavarian-international dishes
Sustainability also plays an important role in our restaurant. Our goal is to protect the environment while supporting regional producers . Our menu focuses primarily on regional and seasonal dishes. We get our bread and burger rolls daily from the Pfatischer bakery in Unterdießen . We pick up fresh organic trout from the Lechbauer farm at Gut Dessau near Lechbruck. The shrimp we serve are farmed at the “Garnelenhof Altenstadt.” And our Gsteiger blossom honey comes directly from our meadows and hedges surrounding the hotel.
We source our wines from Germany, Austria, and Italy. Our beer comes primarily from the Meckatzer Brewery in the Allgäu region.

Major renovations are planned for 2025. We will renovate and modernize 18 rooms . Standing still is not an option for us. Our goal is to continually offer our guests something new and cutting-edge – so that you’ll always enjoy coming back to the Gsteig.

Our spa area is undergoing a complete renovation . In addition to our existing offerings, we plan to add a large 90-degree panoramic sauna with mountain views, a 60-degree thermium, a steam aroma bath, and an infrared cabin . We are already looking forward to presenting the new wellness area to you.
